Kelly the Pomeranian Beats Black Skin Disease and Alopecia X
Aktie
Kelly began the Dermagic system in October 2020. You cannot tell from the photos but Kelly had a very long strip down the middle of her back and behind her ears that was almost totally bald and dark with black skin.
Her owner was determined to beat this condition and what follows shows how much healthier and happier Kelly became after completing the full treatment.
On day one there was excitement and optimism as Kelly began her Dermagic journey. The areas along her spine and behind her ears had lost all of their fur. As treatment began Kelly started losing fur on her chest. This is completely normal. The yeast can migrate and move around and sometimes you cannot tell how extensive the condition is until the dog has started treatment.
Eight weeks later in early December her skin was quite red and still coming out. The Dermagic team asked the owner to begin applying every other day rather than daily. Sometimes this is simply necessary. The goal is never for the dog to experience discomfort during treatment. It is okay to slow things down. It is not okay to quit.
Two weeks after that small bits of fur began coming back and the redness started to decrease. Although eight weeks had passed Kelly was not yet ready to start the Cell Restoration Creme. The Dermagic team asked her owner to continue using the Skin Rescue Lotion and to bathe less frequently.

Through January and February 2021 the flakiness continued as the lotion worked to expel the infected skin and yeast. Kelly’s owner used the Dead Sea Salt Scrub to gently exfoliate the flaking skin. A diet change was also suggested in late December which the owner was happy to explore.
By March the question on everyone’s mind was whether this would ever work. The answer was yes. The importance of continuing to use the Skin Rescue Lotion every day even through discouragement cannot be overstated. This process takes time and a strong level of commitment.
By April 2021 Kelly was nearly fully recovered. She still had a few small patches on the back of her legs but the rest of her body was in beautiful condition. Her owner will continue treating those small patches with Skin Rescue Lotion or Hot Spot Salve until they heal completely as the rest of Kelly’s body did.
Kelly’s owner wrote that her new fur looks and feels exactly like her baby fur. Very soft and wool-like. A six month journey from an almost entirely bald back and black skin to a fully restored coat.
